Kayleen Alumbaugh

Kayleen Alumbaugh’s love for dance began early, building a foundation in gymnastics before finding her true passion in the dance studio at age nine. She quickly progressed from student to leader, beginning her teaching journey at just sixteen years old. Kayleen’s early dance career included membership on the Leander Middle School Tigerettes and the Glenn High School Guardians Drill Team, where she served as Lieutenant her junior year and Captain her senior year.

Throughout high school, Kayleen earned multiple first-place awards for her self-choreographed solos, showcasing her natural choreographic talent and artistry. She continued her dance education at Texas State University, earning a spot on the prestigious Strutters dance team before deciding to focus on her passion for teaching and choreography.

Kayleen has trained extensively in jazz, contemporary, drill, ballet, tap, hip hop, acro, heels, and technique, with a special love for contemporary and jazz. She has also performed professionally, including appearing as a dancer in a music video for Jordon Alva.

With years of experience teaching dancers of all ages — from toddlers to adults — Kayleen is known for her infectious energy, creative choreography, and ability to inspire young dancers. She has choreographed award-winning routines for both soloists and groups, always striving to pass on her passion and love for movement.

Kayleen is thrilled to join Dance Republic and can't wait to help her students grow, shine, and fall in love with dance.
